Public transport payment in the Netherlands

Until recently visitors needed to buy an OV chipcard, or pay more for a ticket, to travel by public transport in the Netherlands. From February1st you can use a contactless debit or credit card or your mobile phone in most of the country. NS trains throughout the country will then accept OVpay.
The rest of the country will follow in the next few months.
If you wan to travel first class you still need an OV chipcard, or a ticket and you can still use tickets and an OV chipcard if you prefer it.
