Hello This time with my wife we are going to pay a visit to Atlanta GA. We would like to know what places to visit, how many days, the best area to stay, good hotels but not excessively expensive, etc. We will go by car from Miami. We sincerely appreciate the help you can give us.

I did a trip a few years back to check out Atlanta. I stayed in Midtown at the Artmore Hotel and was happy, but my priorities may have been a bit different since being car-less, the important thing for me was to be near a MARTA stop for exploring. The Margaret Mitchell House & the High Museum of Art were well-done, and the highlight of my visit was the Botanical Gardens. I liked the energy of big plaza Downtown around the Aquarium although it was New Year’s Eve when I went so perhaps livelier than usual. Since I was only a visitor, others who know Atlanta better can do a neighbourhood compare/contrast.
