Fall Foliage Cruise…Yes or No?

My BFF and I just booked a late September 2022 cruise on Celebrity to New England & Canada, specifically to see spectacular fall foliage. Since we live in Southern California, we don’t get many opportunities to see fall colors, so this is important. However a mutual friend, who’s very cruise savvy and loves New England/Canada, says we’re making a mistake. When he went on a similar cruise, he says the foliage is hit or miss…and the ports of call not very exciting. Now we’re thinking of cancelling. Thoughts & opinions? Thanks so much.

Foliage colors can vary due to weather, temperatures. Colors are triggered by cooler temperatures.
The ports on most of these cruises are interesting and historical.

We did that cruse. No regrets at all.

We did see some beautiful foliage though stayed more with in town activities.

If you stop in Halifax like most of the NE/Canada cruises do there is a very interesting maritime museum with a section devoted to the Titanic as many of the victims are interred in Halifax as it was close to the scene of the collision.

I would say go and enjoy it.
