Day 1- Fly into Pula from London (arr 9.10am), then onto Rovinj

Day 2- Rovinj

Day 3- Rovinj to Zagreb by car

Day 4- Zagreb

Day 5- Zagreb to Plitivice Lakes then onto Split

Day 6- Split

Day 7- Split to either Brac or Hvar (2 night stay)

Day 8- Brac or Hvar

Day 9- Travel from Split to Dubrovnik by car

Day 10- Dubrovnik

Day 11- Dubrovnik

Day 12- Fly to Milan

My main concern is if Zagreb is worth visiting and whether we should transfer that time into staying at another location or existing one?

What islands do people recommend to stay at for 2 nights?

I would appreciate any advice.
In general I think you’re itinerary looks good, although I think day 5 looks incredibly packed to me. It’s about a 2 hour drive to Plitvice as I recall from Zagreb. Then you really should take at least 3-4 hours for enjoying Plitvice and from there, it’s about a 3 1/2 hour drive to Split. Too long of a day for me but you know best how you travel.

I am glad I went to Zagreb as culturally, I found it very different from the rest of Croatia in that the southern 1/2 (plus Rovinj as I understand) is very Italiante. That is good of course but Zagreb gives you a more Austro-Hungarian influenced windows on Croatia.

I loved both Zagreb and Rovinj, both very different than the rest of Croatia that we visited. I have a TR from our trip last Spring (2019) that may be helpful to you.

Really anywhere Matt, though it helps if you provide ages of the children and time of year you will travel.
