Dallas Restaurant Suggestions While Visiting Colleges

My DH, DD, and I will be in Dallas the first weekend in Feb. visiting some colleges. We will also treat a family friend who is attending SMU to dinner. We'll be staying at the Fairmont but will have a rental car. Any suggestions for fun places to eat? We will need somewhere for a Thursday and Saturday night. Thanks!

If you are looking for a steakhouse, Bob's is my favorite local on Lemon. If you like Latin cuisine, consider LaDuni on Oaklawn. For Italian, Alfredo's just north of Bob's on Lemon is a good option. Seafood options include Papdeaux on Oaklawn or Cafe Pacifica in Highland Park Village.

If you are into Sushi, consider Sushi Zushi on Oaklawn. Hundreds of unique constructions and fine quality. Two fine Asian fusion options are Steel on Oaklawn and Abacus at Knox Henderson.

For Bistro fare, Toulouse on Knox Henderson is very good.

All these are within 15 minutes of SMU or the Fairmont.

Chuy's is fun Mexican. It is about a 10 minute drive (if that) from SMU.

Bob's and Pappadeaux are chains, but they are still good food. Your daughter will like Chuy's and the surrounding area.

What colleges is she considering here?
