Fall Foliage Colorado, Wyoming, Montana
#2
In my neck of the woods up here at 8,500 feet in Colorado, the leaves are just beginning to change. The third week of September (next week) is what I consider peak season at 10,000 feet, but every year is different. I plan to do some leaf peeping at 10,000 feet next week.

I think in that timeframe -- 9/27 - 10/5-- you should be in prime color season in Colorado, just about anywhere you go in the mountains.
