west dennis, ma

My husband and I will be going to west dennis, ma for the first time. Would love recommendation for breakfast, lunch, dinner. We especially enjoy seafood and restaurants that are on the water- not chains. Have reservation at Lighthouse Inn. Has anyone been there?

Lighthouse Inn is, or at least used to be, a great all-inclusive vacation spot for families. If you visit is in August I would expect to find a lot of children in the dining room.

Old Yarmouth Inn is old-school and comfortable.
Kream n Kone is a must for casual, picnic-table seafood.
The Ocean House in Dennisport for a splurge

So many good places for breakfast ....Red Cottage, Good Friends Café, Route 28 Diner, Ann n Frans, Hearth n Kettle..........we usually have a good breakfast, skip lunch and then an early dinner followed by a nice sunset walk. Well I shouldn't say "skip lunch" since we hit Four Seas or Sundae School or Auntie's or Cape Cod Creamery in the afternoons. Try the grapenut at CC Creamery and at Sundae school the Coconut Almond Chip with some hot fudge on top!

Four Seas Ice Cream is my favorite ice cream (is in Centerville) but Sundae School has the best whipped cream, IMVHO.

Clancy's has good food, we like The Ocean house and Sesuit harbor cafe. We have a rental in Dennis Port so am checking out fish markets. Swan River Fish Market will cook and crack lobsters for you, They will even do a clambake for you to take out. We are going to do a picnic on the beach one day. I am getting ready to escape this Florida heat.

In my opinion, Sundae School has the best ice cream sundaes. Make sure to get hot fudge and whipped cream!

Clancys, Chapins, Viera, Skipper Restaurant and Chowder House, Kream and Kone, and Sundae School (ice cream only), are where we usually eat for lunch/ dinner in West Dennis.

For breakfast, we go to Good Friends Cafe, which-might- be cash only.

For on the go, quick stops, we go to Seafood Sams and The Dog House. There is also a Shaw’s and a Stop and Shop for groceries.

Make sure you check out Mayflower Beach!!!

Have fun!, we love it there!

My freind made Sunday night reservations at the Ocean house but the menu has changed from last trip. More of an Asian influence now. Has anyone eaten there recently?
