travel from airport to Amsterdam
We are looking for two people to travel from airport to Notting Hill Hotel, near the Rijksmuseum. We need a very reliable trip on a Sunday morning to meet a plane, but on arrival we can be a little more relaxed and travel by a perhaps cheaper method.

If going by train + tram you may want to take train to Amsterdam WTC-Zuid station and get direct tram from there - lots less hectic than going to Centraal Station by train + tram. Best way by public transit I believe. Though airport buses - check above - may take you direct to near hotel. Trains and trams run frequently on Sunday mornings.

If you really want to get off "near the Rijksmuseum", hop onto bus #397 (which used to be #197) from the Schiphol airport 6EU one way. https://www.connexxion.nl/amsterdam-...t-express/1241
Relevant stops along the way : https://www.connexxion.nl/Amsterdam%...20Express/1242
Your hotel may be "near the Rijksmuseum", but still a quite a trek from the bus stop. The new metro gets you closer and the even closer using a tram. Your hotel should be able to tell you how to get there.

In that case a good option is to take the train from Schiphol to Amsterdam RAI and take the #4 tram from there. You'll see a lot of 19th century Amsterdam and there's a convenient stop at Frederiksplein. The first bit after Rai goes through the neighbourhood where Anne Frank lived before the Frank family went into hiding at Prinsengracht.
