Had a normal wonderful dinner at Chez Ellena (Los Cuatro) my first night. Coconut Shrimp, salad, rice, Veggie medley (cooked perfectly not soggy but not too crisp), hot garlic bread lovely dessert with coffee. As a non drinker I passed on the included wine with total cost as a house guest of 265 pesos or under $15 us plus tip.
Flight recovery day yesterday having my included guest breakfast of fresh juice, fruit, toast, coffee and a lovely mushroom/pico de gallo omelet. plus the pleasure of chatting with old friends as well as meeting a few new ones at the communal table. Hung on my patio, a dip in Mexico's deepest and posibly coldest pool before going to Banamex for dinero (18.7 exchange rate) then my Guilty pleasure of going to Pollo Feliz for a 4 piece early dinner w.coke-a-cola wandering the streets on "Old Town" before hooking up with more friends then going home to a early bed. It was 2 for one dinner night at the Chez Ellena at the Inn so packed and noisy. I turned on my fan (no A/C) hooking up their most excellent Wi-Fi watching "Shades of Grey" on Netflix marveling on what a boring movie it is before changing to a old Miss Fishers murder mystery. She still is one of my fantasies! LOL!
Talked to my "bride" on almost 20 years (she will be here in a couple of weeks. Now well rested I am wide awake at almost 5 AM. My best GTO Buddy Stephen will be here today so we will hang out for the next few days. You make the best Amigos in the Expat community in Mexico for whatever reason. A retired priest also from the Midwest via SF area we have little in common other than our love for this Wonderful Country of Mexico Steve has become my wife Linda's and me a very special amigo. More later

Carnitis for me the best outside of Guerrero and the veggie plate for Steve at Repollo Roja (Red Cabbage) with its normal great service
Next day the beach at Si Senor with hot cakes omelets, soft drinks etc, then Mi Pueblitio (Los Arcos) Steve having Red Snapper and I tuna, Cream bolegie (SP?), ice tea, Pan and Caesar salad plus a great floor show including fireworks
Last night for Steve with Dinner at Chez Elena (John Huston's fave cafe). Both had fresh fish, garlic bread, salad, rice, veggies & dessert.
Great trip Steve be safe on the bus back to GTO.
Today a most excellent massage at my hotel (500 pesos), then laundry as I am about out of clean unmentionables then late lunch at the Cigar Shop (3 fish tacos plus coke. A stroll through the upper island with meditation then home to Los Cuatro. Nice day alone.
Beach tomorrow.

After a "pool" day I went to the Argentina cafe for some excellent pizza. Then off to a Evelyne Boren art exhibit at The Galleria de Artistas. I purchased 3 of her lovely works back in the 80's when they were priced for a few hundred US dollars. Today her stuff is offered for 7 to 15 Thousand US. Guess I made a good investment!!!!
Anyways PV is lovely but busy now. More later

Just a word about this incredible weather we have been having. Low 80's with matching humidity make for perfect hiking/beach conditions, A jacket is nice for roof top sunset watching however. Come on down and enjoy. You got to love this town!

I was there a couple of weeks ago and thought weather was best I had ever experienced! Perfect.
For a nice roof top dining or cocktails experience, try Teresa's Bistro. It's above Starbucks on the Malecon. Enjoyed a nice evening there with friends.
I had not heard of it before but was pleasantly surprised
