Portugal and Southern Spain Just Starting
We are flying into Seville but would like to go to Granada then Portugal only as far as Lisbon. I am just starting to plan. Would like help with basic framework of tirp eg cities, must sees, highlights, and beautiful romantic beach time. We realize flying into Seville then going to Granada isn't in the right order but we are using frequent flyer miles and this is where we could get tickets. We are flying out of Lisbon. Total of 13-14 days. Thanks for any help, appreciated!

With 13 or 14 days, you will need to be selective. Your time frame would be more or less ideal for Andalusia -- say 4 days in Sevilla, 2 in Cordoba, 3 in Granada, 1 in Ronda, 3 in Malaga for your beach time. You will need to decide what to skip to make it to Lisbon. And ONLY you can decide what your priorities are.
A good guidebook should prove invaluable -- the cost will be nominal in comparison to the cost of your trip, you will have a wealth of information at your fingertips, and you will learn things you don't know to ask.
Hope that helps!

Sevilla - Lisboa
You can choose between
direct flights (TAP, fares start at 70 EUR);
direct bus (ALSA, Sevilla dp 14.30 - Lisboa ar 21.15, Fares start at 25 EUR);
train via Badajoz (3 changes, Sevilla dp 9.45 Cordoba dp 10.28 - Lisboa ar 20.12);
train via Madrid (2 changes, Sevilla dp 17.45 - Lisboa ar 7.30, sleeping cars Madrid - Lisboa).
In Andalucia, you may do a loop like Sevilla - train - Malaga - commuter train to beaches - Malaga - bus - Granada - bus - Cordoba - train Sevilla or Portugal. The train connection Cordoba dp 10.28 via Puertollano - Badajoz could be handy for the visit of North Portugal (Coimbra ar 19.32, Porto ar 20.39).

Book Spanish trains weeks early to get discounted tickets - www.renfe.com - www.seat61.com if a font of great advice just on doing that yourself online; general train info - www.budgeteuropetravel.com and www.ricksteves.com.
You can also take a bus Seville-Faro - if you want to say see some ofn Algarve or Evora en route to Lisbon.
