Sicily in feb? If not, where to from Israel?
We have a wedding on feb 18 in israel and will spend approximately one week there. We had intended on flying to sicily after the wedding, which we had hoped would be in April or May.
Our question is, will feb be too cold and wet? We are not going for beaches, but are hoping for decent weather. If not to sicily from israel, where else can we travel to?

As interesting as I think Egypt would be, I’m not sure about safety there, so that’s off the table. We have been to Israel several times and are not interested in touring there. We have been to jourdan and turkey, but prefer to avoid the other middle eastern countries at this time.
Has anyone spent time in Sicily in late February? If so, is it advisable? Any other suggestions for a 3 week trip using Israel as a jumping off place?

Here are the climate statistics for Siracusa for Feb. You can, of course, adjust the request to cover other places worldwide.

I'd probably look at Andalusia or Morocco; YMMV.

It is usually rainy here in Israel in February, but it also can be the start of spring weather.
The forecast for this year (February) is average rainfall. I don't know how much that helps.
Weather in the Meditteranean in general is rainy in the winter, so it usually rains in Sicily just like it rains in Israel.

If you want a reasonable chance of good weather I'd stay clear of any of the Mediterranean islands at that time of year (we had a famously ruined washout abortive holiday in Cyprus a few Februaries ago).
Instead, what about going quite a bit further south west? Madeira or the Canary Islands are southerly enough to be very pleasant in February. We've been to Madeira many times in Jan/Feb and have rarely been caught out by inclement weather. Not sure how easy it is to get there from Israel but you can of course check using one of the on-line booking engines.
