No one has mentioned that NH and Vermont are in the middle of opioid crisis.... which must have some affect on the quality of life.

On the other hand I have friends who are very happy in Brattleboro.

I like visiting the North East but couldn't imagine living there.
Go back to Colorado..
Great place to live for mind, body and soul and you get the four seasons.

I live in NH, very close to Vt. The opioid crisis is not something that has affected most of the people up here. Although there have been more break ins at gas stations and such, this is still a relatively low crime part of the country. Of course the big elephant in the room in northern New England is the weather. I've seen snow 10 months of the year - although with climate change it's a lot less common the past 10 years.

No one has suggested Connecticut, which has great schools and many jobs in insurance. Hartford is the Insurance Capitol. We have four seasons, and winters are not quite as difficult as they are to the north.
