Where to stay in London
Wife and I coming to London arriving late May 2 and leaving late May 5.
Any suggestions on a hotel? For under $500 for the 3 nights.
We want a private bath, would like it to be near the Golden Tours hop on hop off bus route and a tube station.
Also need a lift for upper floors (bad knees-they dont like stairs).
We normally book 2 twin beds-easier for us to sleep.
We have stayed in small rooms before, dont plan on being in the room too much.
A pub or two nearby would also be nice.
We plan on doing the basic tourist things, we have been to London before 7 years ago, but there is alot we didnt see.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

You are looking for about £130 a night -- doable but you won't get 'charm'.
>>would like it to be near the Golden Tours hop on hop off bus route . . .<<
Please say you haven't pre-paid for this - not a great use of time or $$/££
>> . . .and a tube station.<<
Almost every hotel in London is near a tube station.
>>A pub or two nearby would also be nice.<<
Ditto
Just plug your dates into booking.com and londontown.com and you will find lots of choices. Two budget chains, Premier Inn and Travelodge, have several locations in central London and will be modern and clean and mostly will be under your budget.
