Budapest Hotel recommendations please

We have one night in Budapest before a river cruise.
Any suggestions for a suitably located hotel and "must do " experiences for that day/night?
Thanks

our Marriott serviced apartment was very nice and near the river. But then I stayed with my mother at the Sofitel which is practically ON the river. Both very nice and I would go back to either one.

We enjoyed Belcanto restaurant/singing waiters/musicians next to the Opera/theater

For one day/night I would try to see Parliament and sunset at Fisherman's Bastion. Anything else - opera house, Jewish quarter, Citadel, Central Market - would be a bonus. We stayed at the Aria and it was wonderful.

The full service Marriott on the river is also very nice. And all rooms have a view of Buda and the river.

We really enjoyed staying at the Residence Baron in Pest, 20 steps from the Central Market and a short walk from the old Jewish Quarter and Dohany Synagogue.

We loved the Danubius Hotel Gellert. It's right on the Danube and right at one of the bridges.
