Swiss half-fare card
A few years ago we made many visits to Switzerland, and benefited from having one-year half fare cards, We are going back next year, so I visited the SBB site to see about getting another card. I found a one-month card, available only to non residents, but couldn't find the one-year card (the site was very balky; I couldn't even contact them),
So have they discontinued the one-year card?

Of course, you are checking
www.sbb.ch/en and under
Halbtax/Abo right? It comes up as available in a one year form as I read it....

I was under the impression that the annual half fare card is only available to residents of Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy or Liechtenstein???

Hi clevelandbrown,
The 1-year Half Fare Card is still available; I just renewed mine a few months ago. Yes, it's harder to find now, but you can find it. Here's a link -- hope it works:

Melnq8, I've been buying the 1-year HFC for years -- starting when I lived in Knoxville, TN. I just told them where I would pick it up. Even though I live in Germany now, I don't have a passport from Germany, so I still don't "qualify," yet they still mail it to me.
