Puerto Rico Hotels
I am helping my sister and her boyfriend plan a trip to San Juan. They have already purchased their airfare for January 24th, 2008 through January 29th, 2008. However, I have a few questions about the hotel. We had planned on booking the El Conquistador Resort and Golden Door Spa, but it is sold out. We thought this hotel would be great because they wanted to get away from San Juan and it is a resort with a lot of activities as they are very adventurous. Therefore, does anybody have any recommedations for a similar hotel to the El Conquistador in Puerto Rico?

try El San Juan hotel and casino (http://www.elsanjuanhotel.com) for a big Isla Verde hotel - the Normandie Hotel for a boutique hotel between Condado and Isla Verde (http://www.normandiepr.com) or if you are into a smaller hotel try Numero Uno Guest House (http://www.numero1guesthouse.com)

Hello everyone,
We are planning on a cruise in April leaving from San Juan and we want to spend a few days in the city exploring.
Do not need to stay in a top end hotel. Went to Rome and stayed in a B & B and loved it! Want to enjoy as much of the local flavour as possible without breaking the bank!
In our 40's, love to walk, sightsee, drink wine and taste all the local yummies. The beach is not a necessity just the local attractions and food are.
Would love to stay as close to everything as possible, and do not want to rent a car.
Hope someone can help.
Thank you in advance.
