Campo de Fiori area with kids

Just booked our hotel for 5 nights in Rome. Booked the apartment at Boutique Hotel Campo de Fiori. The reviews online are fantastic. Is this a good area with young kids? Boys are ages 8 and 9. Seems as if we can walk most places.

Thanks for any advice.

It's a fine location for most things, with nearby transport hubs. I have been in that area on Friday and Saturday nights and it can easily become party central. Are you there over the weekend?

I think that's good. I've seen quite a party scene around there on weekends, but you'll be gone by then! What month are you traveling?

We stayed in the Hotel Campo de Fiori last September. In the area nearby, for the best tiramisu (and at a bargain price) go to ZumRoma a block or so from the market and for dining or a sweet break or the best bakery products, hit up any of the Roscioli outlets in the area and there is an Alice Pizza also nearby.

We always rent an apt in the area and LOVE it. Walkable, LOTS of buses, and the market daily. Grocery is down the street as well. You might want to check out the Palazzo Farnese as it is only available for booked tours on Wednesday.jk

We've stayed there as well and love the hotel. Breakfast in the basement dining room was plentiful. Be aware the rooms are very small. Love the rooftop terrace - several nights we did simple light dinners on the terrace, all to ourselves. Just picked up misc deli & finger foods at one of the numerous small grocery stores in the area.

The area is not as charming as it was say 20 or 30 years ago, but still fun to walk through the market in the morning as we came & went.

We had the hotel arrange a private car pick up upon our arrival at FCO - worked perfectly, and cost no more than a taxi. They were waiting with a sign as we exited customs. Going back to the airport we just had them call a taxi for us.

Love the Hotel Campo de Fiori!the terrace

Have stayed at the hotel several times & at one of the apartments once. The apartment was loud, though our daughter drew the bedroom that faced the piazza—loud but she was on our Nicole so it was OK.

A restaurant near the hotel that we have visited several times is the Osterio Farnese. Not to be missed!!

The staff at the hotel is a huge draw as is the terrace.
