I flew with Balloon Revolution and our pilot was NICOLAS who has 1500 flights -- I hired it through Touraine, Terre d'Envol and flight was provided by their partners Balloon Revolution --the basket is only for 6 passengers..instead of a crowd of 18--
a m a z i n g.... you don't feel vertigo nor fear.. you just float... the ride finished celebrating on the field we landed with champagne!!..will repeat the experience...

Flew from AMBOISE all the way to Chenonceau... you fly according to the wind direction...

IT IS A MUST -- undescribable.. experience..!

WE've done it with a company once called FranceBalloons and left from the parking lot at Chenonceau. It was memorable and thank God ours didn't catch fire and crash.

I did one once in the Loire Valley - can't recall which town - with an outfit called Buddy Bombard Balloon Adventures. I don't know if they're still in existence - I think it was 1990. There were 2 other passengers.

It was fun but once in a balloon was enough for me.

Balloon rides around here cost around 300€ per person, and the balloons take 8-16 people at a time. One crashed into a neighbor's field this spring. It didn't catch fire, but it wasn't a pretty sight and the neighbor went ballistic.
