Things NOT to do in Venice

...do not photograph St Mark's Square from a remote control gyro copter and do not pee on the police station. The police frown upon these activities. Just a heads up in case these were on your list of things to do in Venice.

Just two of the arrests we observed last week.

If you swim in the canals, be sure to take a shower with antibiotic soap afterwards.

Also in the local papers lately - don't wear beachwear (illustrated with photo of mature bloke in just skimpy shorts), sit on the ground or consume your own food & drink in St Mark's Square (actually, these last 2 apply anywhere, but you may get away with it elsewhere).
