Joseph1950 Perillo Tours Rant

Curious as to why the total post and all references disappeared from the Forum? Any clues?

Apparently someone posted something that was abusive - or the editors considered to be scandal or libel. Or perhaps Perillo complained about it (I might have if I were them - given the nature of the complaints - I believe the OP essentially complained that they nearly caused a heart attack.) Or they saw a law suit coming and didn't want to have to be a party.

Or perhaps the OP came to his senses and asked that it be removed.

Darn! I knew we should have saved it to file.

Hmm...Now that I think about it, perhaps someone at Perillo saved it to file.

Perhaps it was pulled because someone ID'ed the OP in a post by name, occupation, and work website. I think all of this was linked from his complaint website.

i do remember someone identifying him in some way and maybe they were right. they had a direct link and everything

coming to fodors to complain about a tour group is like going to walmart to complain about burning some ribs on a grill you bought there

at least it was a funny way to eat 20 min of my lunch break

My impression was he was using the website to try to get compensation. I think that probably crosses over into a gray area. You are not suppose to use this board to sell so...

But he seemed to have a totally unrealistic view of tours in general.

As entertaining as it was, to come here and rant about a tour was pretty much a waste of time. I suppose he wanted to get it on the web so when someone googled Perillo tours it would have pulled up. He should have just written a coherent trip report instead of that silly website.

I agree. A normal trip report with some voiced complaints about the service received is more than reasonable. Oh well, it takes all kinds.

I think cw got it. It was very easy to figure out his entire name, employer, work address, phone and cell numbers, etc. TMI. Not very smart.

Great analysis, Tailsock

not very likely. he had all the hallmarks of an obsessive on a mission.

but it's a shame it's gone - it was very good for a laugh.
