Days Inn downtown Anchorage

Anyone stayed at the Days Inn Downtown Anchorage? I am considering staying there as the rates are pretty good.

We styed there in march 2005 when we saw the start of the Iditerod. Price is right, room is ok, location is fine - easy walk to downtown

I've never stayed there but the location is decent if you don't mind a brief walk to the center of downtown. It's in a safe area of town and if you don't want to spend all your money on fancy lodging, it may be a decent bet. The larger downtown hotels are more expensive.

We stayed there before a cruise. Very
simple accomodation, clean. I'd check
out tripadvisor.com for recent reviews.

I think this hotel is kind of dumpy. I prefer, the Ramada which was a step up in my opinion. The Comfort Inn is also better. Compare prices.
