Day tour from Edinburgh - Hairy Coo v/s Rabies?

Day tour from Edinburgh - Hairy Coo v/s Rabies?
Hi, planning to do the Highlands/Loch Ness/Glencoe day tour, we arrive in Edinburgh Thursday morning, Rabies has the tour available for Friday, not Saturday, or we could do the Hairy Coo LOCH NESS, GLENCOE & WHISKY tour on Saturday. I feel we may be jet lagged on Friday and would rather not leave it for Sunday since we leave Monday evening. Hairy Coo also seems to have good reviews, should I just book that for Saturday or is the difference significant enough that I switch the day and do Friday instead with Rabbies?
Haory Coo also has the whisky stop which I fell may be good if the weather is not ideal but not sure how much we are giving up to include that stop? Below are the two links for comparison...

Rabies is a nasty sickness that's fatal if untreated, Rabbie's is the tour company.
The real question is what do you get at the whisky stop? If it's a tasting, big whoop. If it's a tasting and a walk through a "here's how we make it" exhibit, also big whoop.
Fact is you can get tastings just about anywhere because there are ton(ne)s of distilleries and ton(ne)s of whisky shops including two good ones on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh - Royal Mile Whiskies and the Cadenhead shop. You can also drown yourself in whisky-making knowledge at the Scotch Whisky Experience in Edinburgh.

Sorry, sorry, Rabbies!
The day of the Hair Coos tour is preferable so trying to find out if there is any significant downside of the Hair Coo's tour, even if the whisky tour (walk thru and tasting) is not a particular upside!

I've only done a Rabbies Tour, so can't compare, but have a couple of thoughts.
Hairy Coo uses full size buses, I liked the smaller 16 passenger Rabbies buses.
A number of things on the Hairy Coo itinerary are optional, so you'll pay extra for them.

There is so much to see and do in Edinburgh please think about putting yourself on a tour bus for the whole day. I would go out to Leith, or take the bus ride to see this. It was about 35 minutes to get to the charming village and we spent a couple of hours touring on our own. You get a little bit of country on your way. http://www.rosslynchapel.com/visit/getting-here/
There is a lot of whisky drinking to be done in Edinburgh. We did a day tour one time and it was a long day on a bus. I have done tours that were great but we went long stretches without seeing a thing of interest. We saw a hairy coo but you had to be on the right side of the bus to get a snap.

Thanks, well aware of that but Rabbies has no availability for the day we want unfortunately. Called Rabbies too and they recommended Heart of Scotland so booked Heart of Scotland. DONE!

What is the difference in price?
I really think that the difference between 16-seat buses and 24-seat buses is trivial - yet folks above make it sound like a huge difference - I know nothing about rabid Coos tours or rabid Rabbies tours but I would not judge by having 8 more seats on a bus.

We're certainly in the minority because we found the 16 passenger bus with Rabbies very cramped and not that comfortable at all. So I agree with PalenQ if the day and itinerary appeal to you for the other company more, go for it.
