Help!
I'm flying to Mallorca this summer from EWR. We have an hour and 50 months nite stop in LHR. We bare flying UA their to London then Swiss air to Mallorca connecting in Zurich. Do you think the hour and 50 minute layover is long enough to get 5 bags and go through security and check in again? Also with a bunch of connecting flights, I'm worried my bag will get lost, what do I do?

Do carry-on only otherwise you won't have enough time to make that connection and even with carry-on the connection is very tight.
Go to the LHR website (www.heathrow.com) and click on "Flight Connections" - enter your planed dates of travel and airline/flight info. You'll get step by step instructions and minimum connection time needed. Study the info and decide for yourself if you think you have a reasonable chance of making your flight.

I'm confused. First it's "I'm flying" meaning one person. Then it's "We have" meaning multiple persons. Then it's "5 bags" which is multiple bags and finally "my bag" which sounds like a single bag, not five. So, is it one person or multiple persons? One bag or five?
In any case, the layover time sounds extremely tight.

Both Swiss and United are in the Star Alliance. If this is all on a single ticket, you will not reclaim your bags at LHR, but rather they will be checked all the way through to Mallorca. You won't see them in Zurich either. In this case, you have sufficient time to make your LHR connection.
But if you do indeed have two separate tickets (EWR to LHR and LRH to Mallorca), then you don't have enough time.
I strongly suspect it's the former.
