A place to live in San Sebastian this summer

Hi,

My boyfriend and I would like to spend a couple months in San Sebastian, starting in June sometime. We are looking for a sunny apartment (ideally with a nice view), furnished and 1+ bedrooms. We are late 30s, clean and respectful, and flexible if the apartment is needed occasionally for other purposes, since we will travel to other locations to visit other locations.

Rentals and home stay suggestions welcome.

Many thanks for everyone's help!
Sara

What's your budget for the most popular destination on the Basque Coast?

You can check Rentals Collection, we used them last time in San Sebastián little over a year ago, and everything excellent: http://www.rentalscollection.com/en/index.php

Now renting another apartment through Friendlyrentals for next summer: https://www.friendlyrentals.com/en/a...modation-5.htm

If you want a nice view you should either stay in the residential, local feel and upscale Ondarreta area in the eastern end of the La Concha bay, a 25 min walk along the beautiful La Concha beach promenade into the city center and Parte vieja/Old town. Have stayed out here many times and enjoyed it very much. https://www.sansebastianturismo.com/...arreta-igueldo

Or stay right over the famous La Concha Beach promenade itself, we're taking family and friends here next time: http://www.rentalscollection.com/en/...ncha-beach.php

Or stay in the modern and vibrant Gros district just on the othe side of the city river Urumea and in the western end of town, close to the Zurriola surfer beach. Great area, many of the best pintxos bars in town are here. Lived in this local atmosphere part of town many years ago: https://www.sansebastianturismo.com/...-district/gros

We would love to stay under $2,000/month (US dollars). Do you think that is possible?

$2,000 USD/month in June and July of this year? Not that I can see.

The least expensive property in San Sebastián-Donostia in June through Rentals Collections is 3985€/month for a 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit.

Friendly Rentals has nothing even remotely close to your budget currently available for June of this year.

Iberorents, a San Sebastián based rental company, shows nothing under 175€/night in June of this year (https://www.iberorentapartments.com).

The same with Feel Free Rentals, with the least expensive being 137.93€/night, and it's in Hondarribia (but not a bad price).

HomeAway shows nothing in your price range in June in San Sebastián.

Maybe if you look ahead to June 2018 you might find something.

Perhaps check Zarautz and Getaria by the sea just east of San Sebastián, especially Getaria is beautiful, or pictoresque Donibane just west of San Sebastián.

Getaria: http://www.euskoguide.com/places-bas...taria-tourism/
Zarautz: http://www.euskoguide.com/places-bas...rautz-tourism/
Donibane/ Pasajes San Juan: http://www.fodors.com/world/europe/s...es-de-san-juan

I don't want you to get lost, but Pasai Donibane lies just to the east of Donostia, Zarautz and Getaria are to the west.

You might try Airbnb https://www.airbnb.com/s/San-Sebasti...verride%5B%5D=
I didn't look closely at the listings for San Sebastian, but I know that many Airbnb hosts will give significant discounts for long term stays, if you ask.

It's like the Martha's Vineyard of Spain.
