Barcelona experts PLEASE pick which of these 2,apartments I should rent

I am going to leave the decision to the ever-so-knowledgable and wise fodorites as I simply cannot decide which of these two apartments I should book for my family of four (girls 11 and 15) for our week in barcelona this summer. I love how the one looks out over Pi Square, and i like how the other one ((though very close) is right near the cathedral where some popular hotel choices are located and shopping on angel.

My choice would the first one. It looks far nicer than the second. There isn't much between the locations, so if cost is not the issue, 525414

They are both central in a very busy part of town.
In the summer , you will have the air on anyway, so the noise
will not be an issue.
Perhaps, street Google will give you an idea of the location you prefer.
The first one just lists the street, not the number.....I would ask for the
EXACT address before deciding.

Considering they are airbnb listings and not through a member of Barcelona's vacation rental organization (www.apartur.com), I'd usually say neither just because there is less risk by renting from an established company and there are many in Barcelona.

That said, the first one has various glowing reviews, so that probably wipes out most of the concern regarding trustworthiness. The second has no reviews, so I wouldn't rent there.

What ever you rent ensure it has a "Habitatges d'Us Turistic" licence. or it is considered illegal and it may cause you a problem.

My choice would be the second one cause I love this part of the city. But be sure that it has the licence of "Apartur".

On the other hand, if money is not a problem I absolutely recomend this apartment in "Paseo de Gracia" in front of the famous Casa Batlló.
The first one of this list:

Hope it is usefull

I suggest you input the addresses of both to Googlemaps...for the second one be aware that the words "CLOSE TO" and "STEPS AWAY FROM" can be a bit misleading. It is actually located a couple of blocks behind the opera house. It is more than a few steps over to the cathedral and certainly more than a few to El Corte Ingles up at Placa Catalunya.

You are much too far from Las Ramblas to be worried about any noise I would think.

I suggest Dukey and Paul look at the date of the original post. The OP has come and gone.
