White Sand Beaches in Costa Rica

We are thinking to buy a property in Guanacaste, and dream of white sand beaches. We were considering Playa Hermosa area, but have heard that the beaches there are brown sand and not white sand.

We are advised to go closer to Tamarindo if we prefer white sand beaches.

Any suggestions??

Beaches adjacent to Samara have gorgeous white sand. Hermosa is a gray sanded beach.

You might want to take a look on the Caribbean side. The beaches are sandy and less crowded.

Playa Grande, north of Tamarindo is mostly white sand. Don't go by what you hear, you have to go there yourself to appreciate what things look like. Stop wasting time here; get on the next plane!

Hello, Guanacaste is a very hot area. Best visit Costa Rica, feel the climate. There are a lot of beaches, some lonesome - some crowded. My favorite is Bahia Salinas in the north. See pictures of a few beaches on website www.costaricaweb.de

Guanacaste has a huge shortage of water. I was advised against buying property in that area given the huge construction boom and the failure to address the water shortage. My experts have a concern that this ultimately will increase costs while deflating the value of said property. I suggest that you look into this.
