I was going to start my reply with 'why do you want to go to Cancun!!....Go to Playa Del Carmen!!!!'
Then I noticed that you're in your 20's, so maybe Cancun is right for you...I just happen to think Cancun is comparable to Miami Beach...
BUT, each time we went to Playa, we met young honeymooners and they were always happy that they had chosen Playa Del Carmen....

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions about PDC...

LIZ

I would recommend the Crown Paradise. The hotel is wonderful. The staff are great. I would recommend you upgrade to the club room and you get treated like kings and queens. I am in my 20's and have been to Cancun several times and haved enjoyed it very much. I have reservations to go again in July. If you have anymore questions please feel free to e-mail me.

I went to the Westin Regina not all inclusive for a honeymoon in August and it was cheap and wonderful. You should bring stuff to snorkle. If you take a bus to the Westin head out to the beach walk to the right to club med over the rocks you can snorkle for free everyday. This is where the jungle tour goes. I have stayed at the Royal Solaris all inc. and the food is great. The apple brochure is misleading. no disco its a lobby bar. If the brochure says 6 restaraunts only 3 are open at once in an all inc. Take the booze cruise/show at night to Island Mujueres. Take the bus forget cabs they just rob you. Don't eat MCDonalds. Avoid ice but not a problem really. I'm going again to Crown Paridise. Have fun

I suggest you check out the Palace Resorts. There are 5 of them and you can stay at 1 and play and dine at all 5. I liked the Cancun Palace due to its location and the hotel in general. The Moon Palace is great for honeymooners, etc but does sit out in a more remote area. Really nice though

I have been to Cancun a few times and I love it. I am staying at Cancun Palace this summer. I have heard it is nice. We have stayed at Yalmakan a couple of times. It is really inexpensive and worth what you pay. There are nicer places but I really enjoyed it. It is on the far end of the hotel zone so you aren't right up in all of the crowds. Anywhere you stay you will have a ball!!

Have been to Cancun once and liked it very much. Good bus system to get around, more tours than usual to choose, 3 malls to shop, beautiful water ... calm on north side, rougher on east side where the new, bigger hotels are. HOWEVER, September is right in the middle of hurricane season. I'd recommend a place that is not in the path that hurricanes take such as Aruba. If you do choose Cancun, I would not recommend an all-inclusive plan. Too many interesting restaurants to choose from, in all price ranges.

Tania,
What kind of honeymoon are you looking for? Are you looking for a party atmosphere with college kids standing around in the pool drinking beer? Maybe in September it won't look like a scene out of MTV spring break - but that's what it was like when I was there a few years again with my boyfriend at the time (now husband). I had heard great thinks about the beaches - and yes, they are beautiful. But Cancun is just so commercialized and crazy, we won't be going back there again.

Good luck and congrats.
