Hola Santiago!
I am a 6th grade student in the U.S.A trying to do a report on Colombia and I was wondering if you could write to me at [email protected] about Colombia's government! From what I've learned about Colombia so far, it sounds like a really fantastic place. Thank you.

I have traveled 3 times to Cali, Colombia. What a wonderful place. Not at all what I had thought or should I say feared. The economy and jobs seems to be limited. But the people were so wonderful to me. The most beautiful women in the world.

Colombia is a beautiful country with wonderfull people but at this moment I would not recommend to anybody to take hollidays in Colombia. There are few safe places left.
What still safe is, is Cartagena and the Rosario Islands. Even in Santa Marta you must be carefull on the beach outside of the hotels area.

Santiago, I agree, Colombia is very misunderstood. If people would take time to do their own research, their conclusions would be more on the positive side. Though my stay in mid-October was brief, it was plenty of time to be overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality of the citizens (and the family and friends of my fiancee). My Spanish skills are not well polished, but airport staff went out of their way to point me in the right direction. I flew Dallas-Miami-Bogota-Pereira, and stayed in Armenia. Like any other place in the world, it is good to be aware of your surroundings. I should add that Avianca's in-flight service was great, but the air was a little stuffy for some reason. Anyone thinking about it, go for it!
