Transportation (shuttles, etc.)
We are flying into Liberia on August 22 and staying for a week. I have been looking at arranging transportation from the airport to the hotel (Bahia Del Sol, in Potrero).
I've had email conversations with the hotel who offer $75 oneway (not sure if that was for my wife and I or single). I've also spoken with Juan at Tamarindo Shuttle who is considerably cheaper.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I am inclined to go with Juan. I found him via a positive reference and his price seems pretty good.
I will not be renting a car, so that is not an option.
Thanks for the help.

I would go with Juan at Tamarindo Shuttle. He is very reliable and highly recommended. I made arrangements with him once but had to cancel due to illness. He responded with such concern that I would not hesitate to book with him again.

Hi.
We just came back from Tamarindo where spent our honeymoon. Our travel agent in NYC booked the shuttle for us and it was $80.00. So $75.00 is pretty close. I don't know the guy you are talking about but everyone whom we have to deal with was relyable and punctual, So most likely you will be fine,.. Have fun.
Marina.

I never responded to this thread so accept my apologies. I have booked the shuttle now with Juan and I am sure it will go well. Hey, at least he has cold beverages.
I'm too antsy to wait now.. so I should stop reading things about Costa Rica...

Sounds like you are becoming a Costa Rica junkie like the rest of us and you haven't even been there yet! You will be a pro and giving advice as soon as you get back. CR is an easy and fun country to get to know...that is why there are so many of us on these boards. Whether you have been going for 20 years or just one time you will have pearls of wisdom to share.
Have a great trip and do come back and let us know how you made out. People are always looking for drivers to that general area.
