Tortuguero or Corcovado?
Wondering where to go. We are going to Tamarindo for a few days and then to Volcan Arenal. We are still trying to decide whether to go to Tortuguero or Corcovado.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Lisette,
Depends on what you're looking for and what time of year will you be traveling. Tortuguero is beautiful and rich with wildlife, but you cannot swim in the Carribean due to sharks and riptides. Corcovado has beautiful beaches, wildlife and decent snorkeling at Cano Island, but it lacks turtles. I love them both, so it would be hard for me to give an opinion without knowing more about what you'd like to do and see.

I haven't been to Tortuguero, but it sounds to me like it's mostly seen from a boat. Corcovado is more of a hiking destination. We did see a huge sea turtle while snorkeling at Cano Island, but obviously not the ones nesting. Jean

Have you considered the Caribbean side? It is really beautiful there. It might be a good time to go--south of Tortuguero and Limon there are some very beautiful beaches. Cahuita/Puerto Viejo/Manzanillo
