Costa Rica's longtime weekly English-language newspaper folded today. It has been struggling since the worldwide economic meltdown four years ago and it succumbed this week. It was always a good source of information about news and travel in Costa Rica.

Okay. I'm biased; I freelanced for the paper for many years. ;)

The publication will continue as a web-only edition. I hope they can make a go of it.
