There's no view but Mariscos Tino's in Pitillal has great seafood (taxi drivers should know where this is, not too far from The Marina).

There is a row of restaurants down on Playa Los Muertos beach ("zona romantica&quot the nicest/most expensive being La Palapa. Tables right on the sand.

Funny, I love Vallarta but am having trouble thinking of more suggestions that have both seafood specialties and a nice view.

Barcelona Tapas! Excellent view on the upper patio level, and great seafood tapas. Lovely to look over the water at night and watch the fireworks. Must reserve.

I recently returned from the Marriott and had an excellent time!

We had excellent meals at:
Trio - ask to sit on 2nd floor - www.triopv.com
Le Bistro - gorgeous ambiance - www.lebistro.com.mx
Vitea (so delicious we ate there twice)- www.viteapv.com
Si Senor - www.sisenorpv.com
Vista Grill - up in mountains with great view - http://vistagrill.com/

Also, for a delicious breakfast try Mr. Cream (fabulous pancakes) - in Marina - just a short walk from Marriott

Have a wonderful time in beautiful PV!

Cafe des Artiste and La Palapa are my favorites. I also love Portobello and Suzie Wong's at the marina

Hi Bruce, for a restaurant with not only fabulous food, service and atmosphere as well as a very fantastic view of PV, the Bay and sunsets (reserve you table so you will be there for the sunset) go to El Panarama Restaurant which is up on a hill from downtown PV. A quick taxi ride. Here is the website for you to review http://www.lasiestahotel.com/pano_envia.php

We just got back last Tues. the 23rd and had one of the best meals ever at Le Kliff. The wait staff was excellent and we had fabulous lobster and shrimp. The view is awesome - go before sunset and watch the sun set over the mountains while possibly seeing whales and mata's (the ocean is below, you're on a cliff) (No one told us, but Le Kliff is a 35 minute ride, but was worth it)
La Casita at the hotel is a great place to eat also. Great view - restaurant sits on the beach of the hotel.
Someone else named Barcelona, it's great too and has an interesting view of town.
We had another great meal at the River Cafe (on the river!) great food and view and is close to some interesting flea-market shopping.
You'll have a great time.
