Puerto Vallarta Marriott Resort

We're going to PV in Feb. Is it easy to get into town from there? Cab or bus?
Any resturants in that area or town that you can recommend?

Casa Magna Marriott is in The Marina, which is between the airport and downtown (El Centro). Local bus or taxi cab are both easy and inexpensive. Bus is ~4 peso and taxi ~50 peso depending on exactly where you're heading.

There are restaurants in The Marina as well as literally hundreds of choices downtown.

Usually stay at the Sheraton but this time we are going to the Marriott, I think they have the best customer friendly staff. It is a nice cab ride from town however there is a lot to do right there w/many different restaurants and nice bars also shopping. I don't think you will be disappointed. Cab or bus ride you can take into town it's about 10-15 minute ride in the cab. Have fun If you need recommendations for restaurants e mail me at [email protected]

Yes, it's easy to get into town. We just returned from there. Cabs are always at the hotel. The bus is very near.
We had breakfast at the Marina (very short walk) at Mr. Cream and two other restaurants (one with an Italian name over the water) and the other was Las Palomas or something like that. We had lunch one day at Portobello.

We went into town by taxi at night--ate at La Palapa, Trio, the Red Cabbage and Los Xitomates. Another day we had breakfast at the River Cafe. All in all, we were very happy with every place we went.

for some up-to-date info on what to see and do and for restaurant reviews of the better restaurants check out:
www.virtualvallarta.com

When there look for the Vallarta Lifestyles magazine - both are produced by the same people.

Cheers,
Andrew
