Puerto Vallarta Hotel Booking
I am looking at hotel rates for a particular hotel in PV. Contacting the hotel directly on the internet reflects much higher rates several booking agencies I find online.
I always like to book directly with the hotel, however Bookit.com, Vallarta.com, & several others, in this case, are advertising lower rates for this facility.
What are the chances that a person would have problems upon checking in getting a decent room or maybe not even getting a room using a booking agency?

Dunno for certain but often there are rather high taxes (10, 12 and 15% at different times) and often a 10% service charge added to the bill. So perhaps the hotel is being upfront with you and their quote includes these fees while the agencies are not disclosing that you'll have to add 20-25% to the tab later when you check out?
Not saying that is the case, but I've seen many people at the checkout desks crying about this

Thanks for the response but the local taxes are included in the reduced rate offered by the booking agencies. If I don't book through the hotel are they going to treat me differently if I book through a booking agency at a cheaper rate & how reliable are these booking agencies?
