Puerto Vallarta Case Magna Marriott

Has anyone stayed at this resort..reviews on tripadvisor sounds pretty positive, but wanted to know the status of the renovations lately and whether the gym is well equipped (ie with free weights and machines, or just your usual small little hotel gym)? thanks

It is a very lovely property, located in The Marina about 10-15 mins. from downtown PV back toward the airport. Sorry I haven't been recently to comment on renovations and didn't use the gym when there.

We just returned from the Marriott. The only renovation we saw was a small area in the lobby, so it wasn't a concern. The gym is just your usual small hotel gym. All in all, it was a nice resort.

Having been to several other properties in P.V. We are now going to the Marriott had been there awhile ago but since stayed closer to town now that the Marina has so many restaurants we are going back to the Marriott it seems this is the only property that has been consistent in good customer service. I am tired w/dealing with hotels that ignore your requests for thing s such as King Size bed and a room with a true Ocean view that I paid for. Good Luck and I am sure you won't be disappointed. We are going on 4/2 with 6 other people.

The best gym in the Marina when I lived there was at the Westin Regina resort - just along from the Marriott - 5 minutes walk - It was a proper gym with all the machines and free weights you could want...
so if the gym is important look at the Westin otherwise the Marriott is a nice hotel.
Cheers,
Andrew
