Puerta Vallarta in June?
My wife and I will be joining 3 other couples for a 7 day visit to Puerto Vallarta June 3 - 10th. I have seen in other posts that it is best to visit before the end of May due to the rainy season in June, but this was the earliest we could all fit it in our schedules. Are we taking a big chance on the weather cooperating at this time? We definitely have a few members of the group that will want to be out by the pool or beach as much as possible! Also, we will be staying at the Marriott, which again from prior posts sounds like a great hotel - just distant from the central night life, which we will want to partake in on multiple days. Is it easy to catch a bus/cab? Finally, my wife and I arrive at the airport at 10:30 pm our first night there - will it be difficult to find a cab at that time at night and is the best recommendation still to cross over the street from the hotel to catch a cab then? Sorry for all the questions - our first time visiting PV and we are excited!

Even in the rainy season, it isn't a normally constant downpour. More typical that a shower blows thru, or a big storm then clears up, or rains over the night. And June is early enough you might get lucky.
Casa Magna Marriott is in The Marina and it will be very easy to either take a taxi or bus ride into downtown.
Arriving the airport, I would simply take a taxi from the regulated airport booth, and be on your way.
Schlepping across the pedestrian bridge may or may not save you money, and especially being your first trip, late at night, with luggage, I'd just take the normal airport taxi. It's a short ride to your hotel. You purchase a ticket from the booth that says "Taxi" and they will point you outside to the taxi line/drivers... you don't have to "find" a cab.

Hi-I took a cab from the airport (Dec '05) to south of PV and it was $20 (the driver even graciously stopped at a liquor store) -- so it should be very reasonable to go to the Marriott which is north of town (closer to the airport).
