Photos of Bolivia
Hi there! This is my first post on Fodors. I would like to share my photos taken in beautiful Bolivia covering Copacabana, La Paz, Sucre, Potosi and the Salt Flats. Thanks for all the information I found on this forum and hope you enjoy this album.

Hi Alfisol,
Thanks for your comment. Yes Bolivia is wonderful!
The Salt Hotel that I stayed at was not entirely made of salt. Our beds and the kitchen tables were made of salt blocks. Salt was also on the floor as well. Salt blocks were used to build the hotel but the bathroom was not made of salt...this was one of the most interesting and coldest experiences of my life! I was visiting during winter and while we had sunny and dry days, the temperature was very low and there was no heat in the hotels...definitely a more rough it experience! Fortunately we had really comfortable nights in Sucre, a really pretty city.

Hi
I also had a stop at the salt hotel when I went to Bolivia and it was a pretty weird experience. Check out my pictures in my trip report http://gardkarlsen.com/bolivia.htm . We actually took a plane out to the salt lake and it was great to get a view from the air
Hope that you can find some useful info there. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments.
Regards

Hi
It was organized by our contact in La Paz but I think it was a plane from the Swedish Free Mission in Cochabamba. I think it is listed in the Lonely Planet guidebook
