Photos - El Remanso & Bosque del Cabo (Osa) and Xandari (Alajuela)
Haven't cobbled together a trip report but have got my photos up. Apolgies for excessive spider monkey pics in the Bosque section, and I severely edited!
Pics from El Remanso - http://picasaweb.google.com/sheva07/...eat=directlink
Pics from Bosque del Cabo - http://picasaweb.google.com/sheva07/...eat=directlink
Pics from Xandari - http://picasaweb.google.com/sheva07/...eat=directlink
I didn't caption all of the pics, just some; any question please ask Hopefully shillmac and any other birders will chime in with what some of the birds are.

Welcome back! You must be in post-trip depression right now? Thanks for the photos.
So, they're redoing Congo?! Wow. It seemed so perfect before, I can't imagine how amazing it'll be now. Gotta get back...

Great pictures Tully! The pictures of the view from Lapa brought back wonderful memories, that's where we stayed a few years back and the view is spectacular. Just when I think I'm sure we're not going back to BDC next trip...I see that and my plans may just change!
Great bird and monkey pictures!
Thanks!

Thanks With Congo being the most requested and Lapa being the 2nd, they've put off upgrades more than the other cabinas as they're always occupied. They finally decided to just get them blocked off and get them done. The new Lapa deck is amazing....it was my first cabina there and loved the view, now it's even better. Congo looks spectacular as well. In the Sol picture, there was actually some construction work just off the side of the pic on the patio, they're working there too.
shillmac I actually took the birding tour!! You'd be so proud. We saw lots and lots of....birds. Type? Completely forgotten by now sorry
Ready to go back, already throwing out schedules in my head!

It's a fever, that's what it is! This Costa Rica thing. . .some sort of phenomenon. You'd better watch that birding business--it can really take you over, too. So much that you can't relax in the hammock for having to try to roll out of it while grabbing for your camera and your binoculars at the same time.

Great pics Tully! Really interested in your take on El Remanso. We stayed
there 2 years ago and loved it, although I didn't think the trails were as good
as at Bosque. La guinda cabin looks amazing and wasn't built when I was
there last. We stayed in this incredible open air cabin(can't remember it's name) just
before you decend the path to the beach, behind the yoga platform. Were Adriana and Daniel
still there? They were wonderful people!

toni just a quickie trip, 6 nights on the Osa with nights in/out back in SJ/Alajuela. Already planning next trip! Loved the double deck at Casa Blanca, I could get used to that as well!
vg - no, I joked about it but didn't get it
shillmac I think you're putting too much faith in me Carlos would say ah a rumpy ruby buttwarbler and I would stumble off going ah a spider monkey!
crlover, thanks. No Adriana & Daniel were just winding up their honeymoon. But Cindy C (from Bosque) is now running things as a general manager. You must've stayed in La Vanilla (sp?), that was right on the other side of the trail by me but no one was in it. I'll try to get a report together this coming weekend, work is going to be a real witch this week.
Thanks all!

Love your pictures! I was impressed by the blue morpho, thinking, "Wow, how did she get that?" Then I read the caption! Just looking at CR pictures makes me say, "Aahhhh."
Looking forward to your report.

Great pics tully, makes me want to go back to the Osa again....hmmmmmm
Xandari looks so much nicer than the Orquedias, which we usually stay, looks like it might be time for a change.
Thanks for sharing!

toontown hope you have a troop come by as well, the deck is so big now, they really did a nice job.
