Notorized Letter of Consent

Jump to last reply

I will be travelling with my daughter, son and wife to Mexico next week. My daughter is from a previous marriage so her mother isn't going on the trip. All 4 of us have the same last name and have never been asked for the notorized letter of consent from my exwife (probably because they assume my new wife is her mother). Should we even bother my exwife with getting the letter? Is there any way from the passport to tell what the parents' names are?
