Need yellow fever vaccine for Iguazzu falls?

We are going on a 9 days trip, 4 nights in Rio, 2 nights in Iguazzu falls and 3 nights in BA. Is it recommended to get any vaccines for this itinerary?

I strongly recommend that you have a good deet insect repellent for Iguazzu Falls. I know someone who had severe reactions to mosquito bites in the jungle.
Hep A&B is pretty sensible (TwinRx).
For traveller's diarrhoea, either buy Cipro or get the vaccine Dukoral, if you are susceptible. I know a fellow consultant that got hit with a Cipro resistant bug in BA. I would never have guessed that this was possible in BA.
You will have a great trip.
Cheers!

I went to Iguazzu in December. I am from South Louisiana so we were prepared for the same type of onslaught we experience here in summer. We did not see even one mosquito. That said, I had my repellent with deet ready just in case. I checked the government websites before leaving and none suggested vaccines.
Do plan to bring with you a bottle of water on your walks and one thing we found helpful was carrying a small towel for wiping mist from camaras and sweat from faces.
Also, don't forget your ziplocs (for camara, purse, etc) if you plan to take the boat cruise!
Have a great trip!

Thank you for your responses. Went to the travel clinic at my local hospital. They recommend the yellow fever vaccine for visit to the falls. So I got one, and also Hep A vaccine. Looking forward to my trip.

How topical that I saw this post today! I am travelling to Brazil (Rio, Iguacu, Amazon, Salvador and Buzios) in April and just got my Yellow Fever vaccine during today's lunch break! I had the vaccine mainly for the Amazon rather than Iguacu, however the clinic said malaria tablets are now advisable for the falls area as well as the Amazon. Has anyone else heard this as if so, I will need to extend the length of time I take the medication.

Please be aware that there is a yellow fever-like disease associated with the immunization - it affects those with thymus problems and those over 60 y/o, and has a mortality of 60+%.

Many insurance companies pay for the vaccinations. Mine did...and so did my husbands (different company).
