Manuel Antonio: Zipline Reccomendations and BEST activities?

My fiance and I (low 20's) will be in Manuel Antonio in the begining of May and are looking to plan at least 2 or 3 activities.

Most of the time will be beach/pool/dinner/nightlife, but we are definitely interested in a 1/2 day whitewater rafting trip [any reviews?]and ...?

I've heard mixed reviews on Canopy/Zip-Line tours? Are they really worth it near MA? Which are the best?

I've also heard something about swim with the dolphins but can't find any info on it?

We're not much into nature activities! Any thoughts on what are the BEST (aka "can't miss") adventure tours/activities?!?

Canopy Safari is excellent if you want to zipline. There is not much of nighlight in MA, though bands often play at La Cantina and El Avion. The park is a nice place to go, if you're not into nature you can at least enjoy the beach.

I would hope that any swimming with dolphins tour would be considered illegal in CR.

I meant nightlife, though I guess not to much nightlight too as it gets pretty dark there, lol

As well as what Tully told you, in Quepos, there is usually live music on Wednesdays and Fridays at Dos Locos.

Live latin Musicand dancing and a fun time on Fridays at Bambu Jam (Mirador Del Pacifico).

Mondays - Fuzzy Rojas - jazz at Gato Negro - Casitas eclipse. Also I think live entertainment there other nights too.

There is often other stuff happening. Your hotel will probably be able to tel you. Also try to pick up a free copy of Quepolandia for local information.

The horseback riding tours are good. I've done one called Brisas de Nara. Others here recommend Finca Valmy.

Any reccomendations on whitewater rafting? What about ATV or jetski tours - I've heard the boat tours are more low-key oriented? I've been reading mixed reviews on the board but it looks like zip-line is a MUST DO experience?

Other day activities? Rent a 4x4 and drive somewhere? Maybe a tour of a deeper jungle or plantation?

I recommend an ATV tour with Los Tucanes Del Ranchos (spelling?) in Quepos. The tour is amazing. When we did this tour in September, we were the only two on the tour and I can't say enough about the company. They took us so far up into the mountains, overlooking the river. It was so pretty but so scary at the same time! Our guide Frankie taught us a lot about the country during dinner which was so nice. So much fun!

I want to rephrase my "scary" comment and replace that word with "adventurous"! It was only scary because we were so high in the mountains, with no guardrails, zipping through these small trails!
