Intra-Mexico Transportation Experience?

Anyone with experience, prices, times, advice, links, books, recommendation on travel between these three:

Mex DF - Palenque - Zihuatanejo - Mex DF

Specifically, Palenque - Zihuatanejo.

Willing to bus, air, drive, and combinations of depending on cost/time ratios.

Anything better than Click Mexicana? That's the most convenient I've found so far...

Three 2 week holidays I have travelled all around Mexico by bus and had no problems (apart from one theft by a little old lady sitting behind me). If you fly, it's expensive and you don't see much from 30,000 feet. I book buses as I go from bus stations.

Tours are also good too. Some good ones from Mexico City.

Books- Lonely Planet.

Also, this is kind of a cross-post but:

Does anyone have experience bussing Zihuatanejo to Mexico City? Cost and Duration?

Glabol about 9 hours & around 600 pesos Zihua to FD. Or go the other way through Morelia stopping off. About the same distance but a bit longer trip.

The buses in Mexico (esp. the luxury buses... still very cheap, but really comfortable) are a great deal. If you do get a chance to stop off in Morelia, you should take it and walk around for the afternoon. It's a great place. Also, if you are going in the next few months and get the chance, you should hit the Monarch Sanctuary between Morelia and DF... millions and millions of butterflies, all on one mountain... truly an amazing experience.
