How much to tip a private driver?

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are going to Costa Rica for our honeymoon in a few days and we are so excited. We've hired a driver to take us from the airport in San Jose to Manuel Antonio and back again. We aren't sure how much to tip. Any suggestions?

10-15% of service cost for me usually.
0% of course if service is not good.
Always remember to tip hotel chambermaids
a dollar or 2 pppd for excellent service
they make very little there is great need.
17% tip mandatory on food no tipping required
usually most restaurants.
No foreign fee capitalone.com Visa CC
works well for me everywhere.

Congrats!

I'd tip between 10-20%. Some of the drivers are absolutely wonderful and really add to your honeymoon experience. If they do, I'd reward them.

Enjoy your honeymoon!

I would go more with the 15-20% range unless service is bad. We got so much out of our experiences with the driver we used, so I considered it both transportation and an excellent guide.

We tip 10-15%. On a 3 hour trip, we generally stop to eat and buy our driver lunch. FYI, there's an excellent soda outside of Jaco, about an hour into your trip.
