Hotels in Mayan Riviera?

Jump to last reply

Hello, my husband are celebrating our 10th anniversary in July, and my best friend is getting married at Royal Hideaway from TH to SUN in July, but we are looking to stay somewhere on either side of the wedding festivities.

1) WED night- we were thinking of renting a car at the airport? (any advice of companies to use here?) and driving to Tulum area, or past it. We would love a ocean front cabana (like just walk out to the water) and decent restaurant at the same place (so we can just stay there the night) recommendations? i would prefer a/c and a fresh water shower, smaller the better in terms of hotel

2) looking at Cancun the SUN after the wedding, something fun and walking distance to shops/restaurants/music

We have not been to any of these areas, so looking for a way to see as much as possible...thanks!
