Honeymoon to El Careyes and El Tamarindo in Oct. 06...need help selecting room type!

Hello all and happy new year! My fiance and I have finally selected El Careyes and El Tamarindo as our two honeymoon resort destinations...5 nights at each in mid Oct. 06. Thank you so much to all of you that helped us make this decision! We have not yet made reservations because we are still torn about which room types to select at both resorts. I would like to hear your experiences at both places regarding the rooms...preferences, differences, recommendations, descriptions, etc...any help would be very much appreciated! We are torn between the "ocean view" and "beach front" at El Careyes...and the "palm tree" and "ocean front" at El Tamarindo. I am a gold spg member so it is not so much about money...hoping for discounts...it is more about wanting the right one for us. We want privacy...but also love the open air/outdoor feeling. And...I think I have found the cheapest rates on a different world...please let me know if you know of any possible cheaper rates. Thank you once again!

The room I would most recommend at El Careyes is ocenfront jr suite. You are looking directly at the ocean and the rocks in the bay. They have nice splash pools, more private than the ocean view, they are really their best rooms.
If you go to the grupoplan.com site and the photo tour for El Careyes you will see one of the two rooms that I think are the best. The ground oceanfront Jr has a landscaped terrace, a second terrace with ocean view pool, then a lower terrace with your own day bed, just steps from the beach.
On the first floor the corner suite has a wall of windows facing the pool and beach and on the west side sliding doors to the terrace with splash pool and direct ocean views, and the terrace is very private.

thanks to you both...you have been such a great help. Can you tell me which beachfront villas (numbers) at tamarindo you think are the nicest and most private...with the least amount of people traffic? Is the only difference between them their location or are there other differences as well? Is their more people traffic in the palm tree or beachfront villas? wayfinding...can you tell me how i would request these rooms that you are referring to...(names or numbers)? We want the most open air feeling (like tamarindo)...don't want to feel enclosed in the suite...but also want privacy. Which suite most fits this bill...ocean view or beachfront...and which particular suite would we ask for (name, number, etc). Thanks once again!

Hi again...for beachfront at Tamarindo, they are all set back very far from the beach, we had no one wandering by. #1 thru #8 are strung along the slooping grass area from #1 south to #8 north end that ends at the sand. In the pictures on Differentworld.com you can see #1 is closer to the elevated lobby area behind it. And at that end is the beach water toys & massage/spa room. We always asked for #8 which is the closest to the pool & restaurant but plenty private, but it depends on when they trmmed back the hedges!! Anyway, I'd probably say 3, 4 or 6 or 8....all the layouts are basically the same...I promise you will love whatever one you get! There is also a massage table by the sand that may be in front of #5 or so. You can ask about that. Let us know what you decide.
