Honduras Honeymoon....what to plan......hmmmmmmm

What are your guys' recommendation for a 2 week honduras honeymoon? What to do? Where to stay? Looking to enjoy adventurous activities as well as partake in some snorkel and diving expedition as well as relaxation on the beach!

Thanks in advance!

I'd fly into San Pedro Sula and out of Roatán. Head from the airport to Copán Ruinas for 4-5 days (cute town, ruins, hiking, butterfly place, bird park, hot springs, coffee finca), head back to San Pedro Sula and bus or fly to La Ceiba; stay 2-3 nights at Omega Lodge (rafting, kayaking, hiking, horses), then ferry or fly to Roatán for the rest of your stay.

I would suggest the same thing but I wouldn't miss Finca Cisne outside of Copan.
There are some great places to stay whatever your price range.
We especially enjoyed Hacienda San Lucas. The owner can help you set up transportation if needed.
Save Roatan for the end of your vacation as you will love it so much you won't want to leave.

Congrats on your upcoming marriage.

Roatan is a perfect honeymoon location. You can also arrange to go from Roatan to the mainland fairly easy, as well as arrange for sailing excursions. Absolutely the best snorkeling right off the beach... everywhere on Roatan, and Cocoview Resort was recently named one of the top 8 places to snorkel in the Caribbean!

Happy Honeymoon!

Do you think we would get bored if we were to stay on Roatan for 2 weeks? We would like to go see the ruins and the rain forests but still figuring if we can work that out.

We're planning 2 weeks on Roatán this summer and know we won't be bored. That said, we've spent nearly 3 months total in Honduras on other trips including jungle time and more than a month in Copán. If you fly into San Pedro Sula and out of Roatán and hire private shuttles between (spendy but maybe worth it on a honeymoon?), it would be easy to put it together - lots of fun, lots of variety. Happy trails!
