German town in Brazil?

A friend told me about an interesting town in Brazil that was built in the German style for Germans that arrived after WWII. Does anyone have the name or any information?

One "German" town in Brazil is Campos do Jordao. It's between Sao Paulo and Rio at about 1600 m above sea level. Apart from the South American trees you could take it for Bavaria. I spent a night there on a birding trip in 2006.

In three of my four visits to South America I have encountered some German influence. Venezuala has a "German" town east of Caracas (Colonia Tovar). In Chile we met people with German ancestry.

Actually, there are many "German cities" in Brazil:

- Santa Catarina (state): Pomerode, Blumenau, Joinville;

- Rio Grande do Sul (state): Gramado, Teutônia, Nova Petrópolis, Santa Cruz, Três Forquilhas

- Rio de Janeiro (state): Petrópolis
