First time in Mexico for 10 days and need suggestions for itinerary
Hi
Going to Mexico for the first time for 10 days during Tgiving this year. Landing in and leaving from Mexico City on the 18th and 28th of Nov
Definitely planning to spend at least 3 days in the DF/Mexico City area including one day for Teotihuacan.
Rest of trip is still TBD, and looking for suggestions.
Things i like to do are some adventure stuff like hiking, snorkeling, scuba diving for active stuff, and seeing nice geo/natural features, visiting some historical sites, good food etc.
Also like to stay typically at least 2-3 nights in one place. Totally fine with flying or driving.
From my research thing options are Cozumel, Cancun and maybe Belize
Thanks
Shri

I'd save Belize for a separate trip. If you can afford to fly round trip between DF and Cancun, I'd do that. Head from CUN to Valladolid (2 hours by car or bus), stay for 2-3 nights and visit the ruins Chichen Itza (1st thing in the morning to avoid the crowds heading there from the beach) and Ek Balam, swim in cenotes, eat ice cream in the central park, visit the market. Then head to the beach but I'd avoid Cancun - somewhere further south like Tulum would be my choice. From Tulum you can dive the reef and cenotes (a really amazing experience), visit more ruins if you like (Tulum and Coba are nearby), enjoy the beach, then head back to CUN for your flights to DF and home.
