Do college kids go to Ixtapa during spring break

My 20 year old son wants to go to Mexico for his college break but doesn't necessarily want to go where all the bingeing goes on. He wants some sun, sand and water, but also other college kids. Does anybody have any suggestions - we kind of like the all-inclusive resorts, either in the Caribbean or Mexico

Lets see he wants to be around college kids but not where they party. There is no such place I'm afraid. Ixtapa is DEFINITELY NOT a College spring break destination except for Easter week for Mexican Families. Puerto Vallarta would be a good choice. Lots of activities but not over run by teeny boppers.

Again, I'll suggest Puerto Vallarta as a good in between. You can find college kids at certain resorts (or so I hear, never sought that out myself), and all-inclusive, but they certain don't take over the town like in some places. I don't think he'll find many of "his own kind" in Ixtapa/Zijuat.
