Cozumel Must sees

Hi there,
we will be in Cozumel for day. What are your must sees and dos?
We have been to Playa Del Carmen and Cancun before.
I did post on the crusie forum too.
We would enjoy the beach, checking out the shops, having a nice lunch and relaxing.
( No seafood please )
Look forward to your replies.
Donna

Hi Donna, your plan already sounds good. Take a taxi into the main square, getting out on the south end (or maybe your ship will dock at that pier and you can simply walk across the bridge). Walk the length of the main street for some shopping. Some of the best shops are Mexikoo, Mi Casa, Silver Emporium, and Cinco Sol -- all right on the seaside main street. Once you've had enough shopping, grab a taxi at the north end of main street and ask to go to Buccanos. It's a lovely location (not far) with a good beach, snorkeling, a pool, wonderful restaurant and just a great view.

Is there something in particular that you want to shop for? Do you prefer to eat lunch in town? If you have more specific questions, post again.

Qwovadis, Xel Ha is not on Cozumel. It's on the mainland.

If you're eating in town (and don't want to eat seafood), you might want to check out Guido's. It's a second-generation Italian-Mexican place and has consistently good food, great service and nice ambiance. Also, I LOVED their sangria (try a half-pitcher, it goes really fast).

If you want something more Mexican, there's a great little taco place called Tacos El Foco (it's also downtown, if you ask around anyone can point you to it). It's clean and not too pricey (at least by Cozumel standards).
